Ronnie Williams, Jr. is a long-time resident and the mayor of the City of Natchitoches.
Spurred by a desire to expand his work as a community advocate and activist, he ran for Mayor of the City of Natchitoches in 2020 and became the first African American and youngest mayor in the City’s history. In his short tenure as mayor, he has delivered a lengthy resume of accomplishments that hold true to his campaign promises and provide for a better Natchitoches for residents and tourists alike.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education from Northwestern State University in 2008 and a Master of Divinity in Christian Thought from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2017. He worked for 12 years as a social studies teacher in Red River Parish and has served as the Senior Pastor of the Rockford Baptist Church for over ten years.
